Jill Biden lunches at Carmine’s, Caps chow down at the Source

Jill Biden and a gal pal stopped by Carmine’s in Penn Quarter on Wednesday afternoon for a late lunch. The two ladies carbo-loaded on chicken parmigiana while they sat at a small table at the restaurant’s window. We’re told that this was Mrs. Biden’s first visit to the New York-based eatery’s D.C. outpost, although she has been to the Times Square location on many occasions. Meanwhile, the Washington Capitals took advantage of a night off on Tuesday to sample the menu at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant, the Source.

A Yeas & Nays spy tells us at least nine players — including Mike Green, John Carlson, Scott Hannan, Dennis Wideman, Jason Arnott, D.J. King and Matt Bradley — were spotted snacking on lounge fare for starters, chicken wings, ribs, sliders and tuna cones. They also enjoyed lamb chops, sambal fish, pork chops, salmon, chili prawns, and short ribs for their entrees. The Caps face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup playoffs Friday night.
