TV version of ‘The Firm’ shoots in D.C. this week

Another television show has set up shop in D.C.

NBC’s “The Firm,” based on the John Grisham novel, which also inspired the 1993 movie starring Tom Cruise, started a three-day shoot on Tuesday. The show stars “The Lincoln Lawyer’s” Josh Lucas as Mitch McDeere, who, after spending about a decade in witness protection, is released only to find out his family’s still in danger. On Wednesday, Mayor Vincent Gray is scheduled to visit the set (he came to see the “Covert Affairs” shoot too). Gray visited Los Angeles in July and talked to NBC execs about bringing more production to the District. “The Firm” will air in 2012.
