President Obama was spotted dining with actors Morgan Freeman and Tom Hanks at a steak restaurant in Washington, D.C. Wednesday night, according to a pool report.
The president’s motorcade arrived at BLT, a modern steakhouse in the heart of downtown D.C., shortly before 6:30 p.m. The press pool, parked outside a neighborhood bar, reported seeing Freeman and Hanks leave the restaurant just as Obama did around 8:30 p.m. The two were believed to have dined with the same group of friends.

Freeman and Hanks are both Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning actors. Freeman has appeared in movies where he portrayed powerful figures, including the president in 1998 film Deep Impact and also the physical manifestation of God in Bruce Almighty in 2003.
Freeman may be in town for a White House event to commemorate Black History Month on Thursday, though he is not listed to attend the meeting.
