Apple of her eye
It was to be quite a month for Gwyneth Paltrow. First, she said she was helping her pal Madonna through her divorce. And Thursday, it was announced that she’d be headlining get-out-the-vote rallies for Barack Obama today in Richmond and Arlington (her hubby Chris Martin is playing with his band, Coldplay at the Verizon Center tonight). But just a couple hours later, word came down: the Oscar winner had canceled, due to an unspecified “illness.”
It’s been our luck lately. Leonardo DiCaprio couldn’t appear here two weeks ago because of pneumonia, and Sarah Jessica Parker has backed out of two planned appearances in a month.
