Spotted there Tuesday night were celebrity Sens. Al Franken and Scott Brown, but it was the Minnesota Democrat who got more of the A-lister treatment.
When four college-age kids dressed in black spotted the (former?) comedian, one shouted, “Oh my god, is that him!?” Another made a positive identification. “Yes! Yes! It’s him.” They then stalked Franken down the street. Several minutes later, our spy reports, Brown drove by in his pickup truck.
On the other side of town, at L2 in Georgetown, we hear House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., held a Cantor for Congress fundraiser that attracted quite the crowd of congressmen. Caught there: Reps. Phil Roe, R-Tenn.; Scott Garrett, R-N.J.; Leonard Lance, R-N.J.; Steve Scalise, R-La.; Pete Olson, R-Texas; and Bill Cassidy. R-La. A DJ was playing everything from ’80s to hip-hop. No word on whether Cantor was dancing. Or eating.
And spotted at the Source: First lady Michelle Obama and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who dined at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant for separate events.
