First lady Michelle Obama took on a bi-partisan effort on Thursday — a community service project at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
Politico reported that FLOTUS, along with Landra Reid (wife of Harry Reid), Mary Jo Gibson (wife of Rep. Chris Gibson), Bobbi Barrasso (wife of Sen. John Barrasso), Jane Portman (wife of Sen. Rob Portman) and others, were there to paint a mural for the youth center and benches for the base.

While the group did share lunch with the first lady, no one felt the need to talk politics.
