Fans turn out at Braves’ hotel
The Atlanta Braves stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City for their Fourth of July weekend series against the Nationals and their fans knew it.
Sources tell us a couple dozen Braves fans had staked out some ground in front of the hotel. Police were called, after which the Friends of Chipper, et al, were allowed to stay on the sidewalk, but had to remain off of hotel property.
And speaking of attracting attention, the cast of “Real World D.C.” has been here only a few days and is already receiving plenty of it. They were spotted with camera crews in tow drinking at Chi Cha lounge Thursday night on U Street and Lucky Bar near Dupont Circle on Friday. Their first weekend in town was filled with BBQs, joining in for hamburgers on their street’s Fourth of July block party Saturday and then grilling on their S Street house’s stoop Sunday afternoon.
And those neighbors already sick of being hasseled by the constant camera crews and security now have one more added annoyance – tour buses have been sighted stopping by the house so gawkers can see it before it appears on MTV.
