Hot in Herre
Hip-hop and politics have never gotten along better, as evidenced by the array of nightclubs hosting big hip-hop artists at inauguration-themed parties.
On Sunday, Nelly, Ludacris and DMC appeared at Fur nightclub for Impact Film Fund’s “Artists Making an Impact,” and of course they all had to mention politics.
Nelly opened his set by admitting to crushing on Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley, saying, “She’s hot … gonna be a party in the White House.
And if that wasn’t politically incorrect enough, you could have listened to always-controversial comic Sarah Silverman, who provided a break in the music.
She poked fun at both the new and former presidents, jabbing George W. Bush with this line: “Even after eight years as president, George Bush’s parents are still disappointed.”
But she reserved a line for Barack Obama that was a real eyebrow-raiser: “The transition has been easy being because a black man is used to being followed by security guards.”
