Obama’s 31-minute St. Patty’s Day party

President Obama made a surprise half-hour stop at the Dubliner on Saturday in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Donning a pale green jacket that read “National Parks, America’s Best Idea,” the president sipped a Guinness and posed for photos.

Bar patrons, some of whom had been reveling at the Dubliner since 10 a.m., displayed the utmost decorum in the presence of the president, breaking into a rowdy “USA!” cheer. At one point a woman loudly asked Obama to sign her face. The president declined.
