Economy wears out Summerzzz

Evidentially having the exhausting job of being Director of the White House’s National Economic Council in a recession has caught up with Larry Summers — he fell asleep Thursday during a meeting with the President.

As President Barack Obama began his remarks with credit card industry officials in the Roosevelt Room, Summers began to clearly nod off. Pulling out everyone’s favorite trick from their high school days, Summers rested his head on his hand, fell asleep for a bit, then jolted awake when his head fell off his hand.

Valerie Jarrett, Timothy Geithner, Rahm Emanuel and Gene Sperling were also in attendance and, according to the White House Pool Report, appeared fully awake.
