International hacking group Anonymous has followed through on repeated threats against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, and announced Thursday it has released personal information for Trump and top executives within his company to give people a way to harass the “fascist” GOP front-runner.
In a video posted Thursday, a spokesperson for Anonymous encouraged viewers to use the information to stop Trump from winning the Republican nomination.
“We have attached a gift, of sorts. Trump’s Social Security Number, cellphone number and other details that might be able to assist you all in independently investigating this would-be dictator. These are provided for informational purposes only, do with it what you will,” the spokesman said.
Anonymous also instructed its followers to seek out a White Rose Society chapter in the U.S. or form one in their city. White Rose was originally a group of Germans in the 1930s who spoke out against Adolf Hitler. The group believes Trump’s popularity among conservatives is similar to Hitler’s rise to power.
“Now is the time to unite to fight fascism, to show that we are very serious about stopping any proposed Fourth Reich by the fascist Donald Trump,” the group warned.
Anonymous has called on hackers around the world to attack Trump’s websites on April 1.
