Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney‘s announcement via Twitter of his presidential exploratory committee has drawn a lukewarm response from conservative voters according to Gallup, with poll results showing his Positive Intensity Score among Republicans nationwide trailing former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee by 10 points, and Minnesota Congresswoman and Tea Party-fave Michele Bachmann by three points.
Still, Romney’s announcement has been greeted warmly by media personalities, including comedian Jon Stewart, who took some time on Tuesday’s show to poke fun at all the GOP contendors as well as Romney’s video announcement, saying it looked like “an erectile dysfunction ad.”
