Air Force plane crash in Afghanistan kills 11

An Air Force C-130 cargo plane has crashed in Afghanistan, killing six U.S. troops and five civilians, according to a statement.

The C-130J crashed at Jalalabad Airfield in Afghanistan early Friday morning local time, according to a statement from the 445th Air Expeditionary Wing public affairs staff.

The plane was assigned to the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron.

First responders responded to the scene and the accident is under investigation, the statement said.
