Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist and radio talk show host who supports President Trump, claimed this week that he’s been “offered” White House press credentials.

Jones runs the website Infowars and he said in an online video posted Wednesday that he is debating whether it is “worth” sending a correspondent to attend press briefings in Washington.

“Here’s the deal, I know I get White House credentials, we’ve already been offered them, we’re going to get them, but I’ve just got to spend the money to send somebody there,” he said.

The White House did not respond to a request from the Washington Examiner to confirm Jones’ claim.

Any news outlet can apply for credentials to attend the White House press briefings.

Jones is known for promoting conspiracy theories, such as his claim that the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary was a hoax. During the 2016 campaign, Jones interviewed Trump.
