Clinton’s unexpected ad for Jimmy Fallon’s armpit apparel

Hillary Clinton’s New York City subway gaffe last week bore some unexpected fruit for NBC’s Jimmy Fallon’s business ventures, says the “The Tonight Show” host.

In a photo taken of the Democratic candidate struggling to pass a New York City subway gate on Thursday, which has since gone viral, Fallon pointed out in a clip posted to his youTube page that on the turnstile bar in front of Clinton was an advertisement for the comedian’s sports apparel line, Hands High.

Manufactured and distributed by G-III Apparel Group, and “inspired” by Fallon, Hands High apparel — which hit the shelves in October — features professional team logos located “in a new place— under a fan’s arms,” the company said in a press release.

“I just though it was really cool,” said Fallon, adding that it was as if he had his product idea picked in an episode of “Shark Tank,” a reality television show in which entrepreneurs pitch business ideas to investors.

“I feel like Mark Cuban liked my idea,” Fallon said, referring to the billionaire businessman who is a longtime “shark” investor on the show.
