HuffPo editor’s note dubs Trump ‘racist,’ ‘bully’

The Huffington Post is trotting out another anti-Donald Trump tactic, by officially labeling him as a bully and a racist in all stories centered on the Republican presidential front-runner.

An editor’s note attached at the bottom of a story about Trump published on the Huffington Post on Wednesday night says, “Note to our readers: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.”

Trump and the Huffington Post and its founder Arianna Huffington have a long history antagonizing each other.

In 2015, the news website said it would relegate all of its Trump coverage to its “entertainment” section, instead of its “politics” section, reasoning that Trump was not a serious political candidate. Even after Trump rose to the top of the GOP presidential field, the Post kept him in the entertainment section.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner in March, Trump called the Post “a very dishonest organization.”

A spokesperson for the Post did not return a request for comment.
