Sen. Scott Brown has dinner with Wonder Woman

He is a dashing United States Senator from Massachusetts. She’s Wonder Woman. And on Monday night, Sen. Scott Brown and actress Lynda Carter, known for her role in the 1970s television series “The New Original Wonder Woman” were spotted out to dinner in Washington. (Did we mention their spouses were there, too?)

The party of four, which included Brown’s wife, Gail Huff of WJLA, and Carter’s husband, the attorney Robert Altman, enjoyed dinner at the Prime Rib restaurant in downtown D.C. They were there because last month at a live auction at the D.C.’s Funniest Celebrity Contest, Brown submitted the one and only bid of $1,000 to have dinner with Carter, as his wife and his daughter Ayla giggled nearby. (Full disclosure: Yeas & Nays’ Nikki Schwab served as a judge for the competition).

That $1,000 dinner, which benefited Susan G. Komen for the Cure, consisted of prime ribs for Brown and Altman, a filet for Huff and steak au poivre for Carter. The senator enjoyed Bud Lights, while his wife and Altman tried the margaritas. Carter only drank sparkling water, and nobody in the group ordered dessert.

Brown told Yeas & Nays that he had a good time. “It was wonderful to spend time with Lynda and her husband to learn about her philanthropic efforts as well as her singing and acting career,” the senator said in an email.
