Report: Giuliani will meet with Cruz campaign Thursday

Former N.Y. Mayor Rudy Giuliani will meet with Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz in New York on Thursday, according to a new report.

Giuliani, an unofficial adviser to GOP front-runner Donald Trump, has not endorsed a Republican candidate in the 2016 presidential election. The meeting indicates he may be edging closer to picking one of the final three.

The former 2008 presidential candidate’s meeting with Cruz comes as the Texas senator pulled off a win in Tuesday’s Wisconsin GOP primary.

New York’s Republican primary is scheduled for April 19. All of the candidates have announced events in the Empire State where long-time resident Donald Trump has a 30-point advantage over Cruz, according to the Real Clear Politics average.

Trump visited Long Island on Wednesday for a rally in his home state. Cruz campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday, where he was forced to address older debate comments in which he insulted “New York values.”
