Shriver to serve as guest-editor for O, The Oprah Magazine

Award winning journalist and best-selling author Maria Shriver has been selected to be the first-ever guest editor for “O, The Oprah magazine’s” poetry-themed issue. The April issue, which coincides with National Poetry Month, will focus on self-expression and include poems and works from famous poets, athletes, musicians, writers and actors including Demi Moore and Mike Tyson.

“While a poem may bring us deep personal meaning, it becomes more meaningful when we share it with others,” said Shriver.

That’s why she and the magazine are asking readers to send in one of their favorite poems or original pieces which could be included in the issue. Entries will be accepted until Friday, Feb 11. You can submit your piece at oprah.com/poetry. The issue is expected to hit newsstands in March.
