Rubio denies charging back wax to GOP

The Florida Senate primary is getting hairy thanks to rumors from Gov. Charlie Crist’s camp that Marco Rubio received a back wax and charged it to the GOP.

A spokesman for Rubio said the candidate never received a back wax at Churchill’s Barber Shop, an upscale Miami salon, and that Rubio reimbursed the Florida Republican Party for the $134 visit charged to its credit card.

“Charlie Crist’s obsession with making up things about other people’s grooming habits is bizarre for anyone, especially the sitting governor of Florida,” campaign spokesman Alex Burgos told CNN.com.

Rubio’s bill included a $20 haircut, travel grooming kits and gift certificates for a silent auction.
