Donald Trump only declared his presidential campaign on Tuesday, but he is already taking swings at other candidates.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, for example, is an “unhappy person,” the real estate mogul said in part of an interview that aired on MSNBC Thursday morning.
“I think that Bush is a nice man,” Trump said. “He’s a man that doesn’t want to be doing what he’s doing. I call him the reluctant warrior, and warrior’s probably not a good word. I think Bush is an unhappy person. I don’t think he has any energy, and I don’t see how he can win.”
Trump also criticized Bush’s stance on Common Core and called him “weak on immigration.”
Trump announced he would be seeking the 2016 Republican presidential nomination in a speech Tuesday. Despite being viewed as unfavorable in a slew of polls, he does garner 3.6 percent of support in a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
With 3.6 points, he is ninth, ahead of six candidates, including former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Bush leads the polls with 10.8 points.
