Another top intel official’s whole life just got hacked

A spokesman for the head of the U.S. Intelligence Community has confirmed reports that another top intelligence official’s online personal accounts were hacked.

Online magazine Motherboard posted a story Tuesday that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper had a number of non-work accounts accessed by the teenager who also hacked CIA Director John Brennan’s personal accounts in October.

Clapper’s office notified authorities of the breach at the time of the incident.

But the hacker, known as “Cracka” on the internet, was able to gain access into the intelligence official’s home telephone, Internet, personal email and his wife’s email account.

He also programmed Clapper’s home phone to forward incoming calls to the co-founder of the Free Palestine Movement, according to Motherboard.

Motherboard said “Cracka” came to them with the news of his second hacking and is a high school student who views the illegal activity as a way of protesting U.S. policy.
