Fox News head Roger Ailes sprang into action Thursday while having lunch with liberal analyst Bob Beckel, who began choking on a shrimp while eating with Ailes, anchor Eric Bolling and execs Bill Shine and Suzanne Scott at Del Frisco’s Steakhouse in New York. Sources said Beckel was “leaning over strangely and turning different color,s” and that Ailes “noticed first, stood up and immediately began performing the Heimlich … When [Beckel] was still red and purple, Bolling came in for the assist, and then Beckel spat something up.” On the air later, Beckel thanked Ailes and Bolling for “[saving] my existence,” and advised his viewers to take care when eating with high-powered media moguls. “Don’t eat too fast. And don’t eat big shrimp,” he said.
