Lawrence O’Donnell has a job for Rosario

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell dropped by Tuesday afternoon’s Voto Latino panel discussion, hosted by the group’s chairwoman Rosario Dawson, and a light bulb went off in his head.

“You know, I am — as I think is obvious — the laziest person in news television, I do four nights a week, I have the show business schedule of Stewart and Colbert and I’m always looking to get more nights off, and they are always saying, ‘We can’t, we don’t have anybody to substitute for you, we don’t have anybody tonight,” O’Donnell said. “I think my new idea is ‘The Last Word with Rosario Dawson,'” he suggested.

O’Donnell had seen Dawson expertly moderate a 90-minute discussion with Rep. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif., Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards and others. No word, yet, on whether Dawson would be interested.
