Sightings: Jessica Alba studiously attends panel discussion

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Sure, there were Hollywood types, including Kal Penn, Alfre Woodard and America Ferrera, who appeared at the National Journal and Atlantic’s Conversation with the Next Generation event Wednesday afternoon. But the biggest bold-faced name was in the audience.

Actress Jessica Alba arrived late to the discussion with her husband, Cash Warren, in tow, but quickly got to work jotting notes in a reporter’s notebook, occasionally resting her chin on her hubbie’s shoulder and snuggling up. Alba looked casual in light colored cropped pants, light brown, sky-high heels and a navy blazer with the sleeves rolled up.

“I came to learn about what I think is the most important voice in this election, our youth,” she told Yeas & Nays after the event. “I thought everyone was pretty impressive and well-informed on the issues.”
