As we previously reported, longshot GOP presidential candidate Fred Karger had one of the best parties at CPAC. Unfortunately, the Reagan-themed fete was shut down an hour early by hotel security. On Monday, Karger said he had called the Marriott Wardman Park hotel to complain about his treatment.
“We had hundreds of people pass through our reception, and while very orderly — some thugs from hotel security (without any warning) abruptly shut us down at approximately 11 p.m,” Karger wrote Yeas & Nays in an email. Karger, an openly gay candidate, was unable to have an exhibition booth at the conservative convention, so he used an open bar and good music to entice conference attendees to hang out and learn about Karger’s candidacy.
