Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was high on Carly Fiorina after the “happy hour” debate for lower-polling Republican presidential candidates.
In a series of tweets during the debate, Gingrich, a 2012 presidential candidate, talked highly of Fiorina, saying the former Hewlett Packard CEO should be invited to come back for the main debate between the top ten Republican contenders.

Gingrich also spoke highly of former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who he said was the “other strong contender” in the undercard event.
@CarlyFiorina is clearly the big winner in the first debate, @GovernorPerry is clearly the other strong contender in this group

The former speaker continued his praise of Fiorina in a Facebook video chat soon after the early debate, agreeing with a commentator that she “planted the flag” with her work on stage, adding that was “remarkably articulate” and will be “very formidable” going forward.
