– “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host Jimmy Kimmel‘s reaction to being invited to host the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, according to the Associated Press. The White House Correspondents Association made the announcement Tuesday saying that Kimmel was chosen because his “humor is sophisticated and edgy while appealing to a wide audience,”according to WHCA president Caren Bohan of Reuters. Next year’s dinner — which usually attracts the president, first lady, members of the media and quite a few Hollywood stars — will take place April 28, 2012.
