More live anthrax has been found in the same military lab that inadvertently sent the deadly bacteria to nine states and South Korea.
NBC News is reporting that another live batch of anthrax turned up at the Army’s Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. The anthrax spores had been irradiated to be killed in 2008, NBC News said.
The anthrax was sent to a lab in Australia, but it is unknown whether the samples contained live bacteria. The Australia lab had been testing samples to determine if they were live since the shipments were disclosed this week, NBC News said.
