New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani loves promising things he has no power to carry out. From tax increases to free public transportation, the socialist keeps pretending he’s more than just a mayor. His vow to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is no exception.
After months of tough talk, Mamdani finally had to admit what many knew all along: He has absolutely no authority to arrest Netanyahu. His promise amounted to nothing more than virtue signaling, as usual. But in his admission of defeat, he made a series of shocking allegations against the Israeli head of state. Let’s see how they hold up under scrutiny.

Mamdani accused Netanyahu of being a war criminal, which would entail targeting civilians, torture, or taking hostages. Israel has made extensive efforts to avoid civilian casualties, such as giving advanced notice of strikes through phone calls and leaflets, and employing the “roof knocking” tactic to give civilians the chance to evacuate. These efforts have resulted in Israel achieving a historically low civilian-to-combatant casualty rate, especially for urban warfare. Hamas, on the other hand, literally sought out civilians at a music festival, their homes, places of worship, and in the streets during its Oct. 7, 2023, massacre. The so-called “Palestinian” terrorists tortured and raped innocent people to death, including children, and took over 200 hostages. That’s what a real war crime looks like. And Mamdani’s wife celebrated this.
The mayor also accused Netanyahu of committing genocide against the Arabs in Gaza, which would entail intending to wipe out their population. Despite having the means to do so, Israel took a more measured and calculated approach that resulted in the aforementioned low civilian-to-combatant casualty rate and allowed the population of Gaza to grow, rather than shrink. During the Holocaust, an actual genocide, the Jewish population shrank by a third globally and two-thirds in Europe alone. Hamas, on the other hand, was founded with the intent to wipe out the Jews (according to its own charter), and Oct. 7 was an attempt to do so.
Worst of all, Mamdani deceptively decried the killing of 73,000 people… but he didn’t specify the number of civilians. Only a tiny fraction of that number were civilians caught in the crossfire, and they were only in harm’s way because Hamas refused to allow civilians to flee, operated from civilian structures, and started the war in the first place. In lumping all the war casualties together, the mayor of New York mourned the deaths of tens of thousands of terrorists. Supporting terrorists isn’t new for Mamdani, though, as he infamously came out in support of the “Holy Land Five” — you know, the men convicted of providing material support for Hamas in 2008.
Mamdani made a couple of semi-correct accusations in his video. They both backfire on his cause.
For example, he claimed Israel bombed hospitals. He neglected to mention, however, that Hamas literally used such places as military bases. Mamdani also claimed that Israel blocked food and humanitarian aid to Gaza, but failed to mention that these temporary halts occurred because Hamas interfered with the distribution and stole the aid to sell it on the black market, funding its terrorist operations. Another partial truth was that Israel gunned down humanitarian workers and journalists. In many cases, those killed were allegedly affiliated with Hamas — it turned out that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees was heavily infiltrated by terrorists, and a number of journalists in Gaza have also been found to have terrorist ties.
WHY IS IRAN SUDDENLY DESPERATE TO KILL TRUMP?
As a broken clock is right twice a day, Mamdani correctly said that “there are crimes so grave they offend all of humanity.” The problem is that those crimes have been committed by the terrorists he and his wife support. His administration even tried to set up a meeting with Iran, the country that finances Hamas, and the same country with which we are currently at war.
If Mamdani had an ounce of the moral clarity he claims to have, he’d stop calling on President Donald Trump to enforce a sham International Criminal Court charge and start apologizing to the Jewish community for facilitating antisemitism and to the rest of us for insulting our intelligence with these hypocritical accusations.
