For Gwyneth Paltrow, food stamps are so out of style.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the actress has already dumped the food stamps challenge she agreed to last week, binging on two gourmet dinners in one night.
Well, sort of. Paltrow reportedly attended an $85-per-person feast of gourmet barbecue on Tuesday. The pop-up dinner event, called “El Jefe,” was hosted by director Jon Favreau and others at the Los Angeles restaurant Animal.
To be fair, no one reports to have seen Paltrow consume any barbecued food at the event. However, in the same evening, Paltrow is said to have attended a dinner in Beverly Hills hosted by David and Victoria Beckham, the menu for which included enticing bites of burrata, heirloom tomatoes, and halibut.
Last week, Paltrow accepted a challenge from celebrity chef Mario Batali to spend only $29 a week on food, tweeting Thursday, “This is what $29 gets you at the grocery store — what families on SNAP (i.e. food stamps) have to live on for a week.”

The rep for the actress contested that Paltrow had already finished the challenge by the time of her lavish dinner plans four days later.
“She already finished the challenge last week but only got around to posting the photo of the groceries on [Thursday],” the rep alleged, refusing to admit whether or not Paltrow dropped $85 for the barbecue dinner.
Go ahead, Gwyneth. Chow down.
