NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden may be in talks to return to the U.S. for trial, according to an interview given by his Russian lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena.
Kucherena told a news conference, “I won’t keep it secret that he… wants to return back home. And we are doing everything possible now to solve this issue. There is a group of U.S. lawyers, there is also a group of German lawyers and I’m dealing with it on the Russian side.”

“Edward is motivated in his actions, first of all, by his desire to open the eyes not only of Americans, but of people in the rest of the world, to a total violation of human rights,” he said. “I think his future will be bright.”
Snowden has said in the past that he would be willing to face trial for his actions, if it were a fair trial.
