CRNC launches ‘Oomph! Out of My Parents’ House’ initiative

The College Republican Committee has launched a new initiative it is calling “Oomph! Out Of My Parents’ House” raise awareness of what it sees at the negative effects of President Obama’s economic policies on young people.

The initiative includes paid advertising that will run in the key swing states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia that will highlight how the economy has forced many young people to move back into their parents’ homes.

The ad titled “Perspective” tells young people that they graduated from college expecting a good job, but instead Obama’s policies have left them with living with Mom and Dad as their only option. The social media aspect includes a Tumblr.

“Young people are pushing off taking steps towards building their futures and their independence at a historic level today because of the crippling economic situation that President Obama has failed to fix after four years,” Alex Schriver, chairman of the College Republican National Committee, said in a statement. “Record numbers of young people are moving back in with mom and dad and our generation deserves better.”
