Taylor Swift calls out SAT prep book for misquoting her lyrics

Haters can hate, but they best ensure they have accurate quoting skills first.

Taylor Swift called out an SAT prep book from the Princeton Review that misquoted a lyric from her song “Fifteen” in a section spotlighting improper pronoun use.

“Somebody tells you they love you, you got to believe ’em,” the book quotes Swift.

Alternatively, the lyric should read, “Somebody tells you they love you, you’re gonna believe them.”

Some SAT-taking Swift fans evidently noticed the error, photo evidence of which began circulating on Tumblr.

Swift reposted the picture on her Tumblr account, writing, “Not the right lyrics at all pssshhhh. You had one job, test people. One job.”

It didn’t take too long for The Princeton Review to apologize on Twitter.

“Sorry @taylorswift13!” they wrote Tuesday. “We’ll make it up to you. Pick a #grammar lover fan. 2 tickets to a U.S. show on us! @people. ”

Hopefully, said “grammar lover fan” will have the wherewithal to recognize that Swift’s accurate “Fifteen” lyric actually has two grammatical errors.
