CNN Panel: Charges against Perry just make Democrats look ‘power-hungry,’ will help future presidential run

A CNN panel on Sunday’s “State of the Union” joined the chorus of commentators who believe Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s indictments are ridiculous and just a part of a political maneuver by Democrats.

In fact, one member of the panel believes it will do nothing but help Perry should he decide to run for president in 2016.

“I think he can ride this wave through a Republican primary, to be quite honest. I think it looks like power-hungry Democrats. It looks like an attack on him. It looks like a political prosecution. I think he can say, ‘I’m being crucified right now.’ I think he can win on this,” CNN political commentator Marc Lamont Hill said.

His fellow panel members agreed, pointing out all of the support Perry has had from people on both the right and left.
