NRCC highlights ‘Democrat fails of 2014’ with new ‘Would you rather’ quiz

The National Republican Congressional Committee wants to play a game of “Would you rather” with you.

The organization recently launched its newest digital project, the “Would You Rather” Quiz: Democrats Edition, which spotlights “some of the worst Democrat fails of 2014” and tests whether you would “measure up” to the mishaps of Democrats running for Congress.

“If Democrats running for the House have one thing in common this year, it’s their massive campaign failures and missteps,” reads the NRCC’s webpage for the game. “Whether it’s lying on resumes, eating earwax on television, or lying to voters, Democratic candidates this year have proven that their campaigns are just as incompetent as they are.”

The game is simple: The NRCC offers you two descriptions of Democratic candidate fails, and you choose whichever you “would rather” do. Cleverly, the webpage displays specific information about any given disastrous campaign moment when you click on it.

The quiz features 12 terrible mishaps ranging from the gross to the outrageous to the downright idiotic. The Democratic candidates exposed include Rep. Joe Garcia (Fla.), Rep. Rick Nolan (Minn.), Rep. Julia Brownley (Calif.) and Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (N.Y.), among several others.

Would you be willing to illegally film your wedding with a drone, declare that “communism works,” lie about your resume, attempt to commit ballot fraud or eat your own earwax on camera? Well, here’s your chance to let the NRCC know.

The quiz comes ahead of the 2014 midterm elections as Republicans are attempting to gain control of both the House and Senate. Take the NRCC’s “Would you rather” test here.
