Thanks Milo: Leslie Jones credits to Yiannopoulos for being famous

During her comedy gig Thursday night at the University of Maryland, College Park, Saturday Night Live comedian Leslie Jones subtly hinted that then-Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos and Twitter users, presumed to be alt-righters, furthered her stardom despite starring in the controversial movie Ghostbusters.

Jones has been the ire of many nostalgic science fiction fans and a target for online detractors ever since the release of the rebooted Ghostbusters, but what seemed like a career-stifling role spawned new admittances according to Jones herself.

Disclaimer: Profanity (from her) ahead…

“If I would’ve came here and did a show, and before all of this stuff happened, I would’ve killed, and y’all would’ve been like, ‘Oh my gosh! She was so funny,’ and somebody would’ve been like, ‘what’s her name?'”Jones said in the opening of her show. “Now, everybody knows my fuckin’ name! White people love me,” Jones continued as the crowd led a thunderous applause.

It appears Jones has acquired a new white following after her encounter with Yiannopoulos, who was widely considered to be a ringleader for her dismay on social media, subsequently led the media to express moral concerns of her online harassment.

“My life has gon’ fuckin’ change, man!” Jones exclaimed in excitement.

Her newfound fame does come with a sacrifice: admiring white people are anxious to greet her, her schedule and contacts are overwhelming, and dating has become a challenge. Even her leaked photographs, often blamed on Yiannopoulos’ long after his Twitter ban, she jokingly admitted to wanting them to be exposed anyway, stating her pictures were sexy and her age of 49 prevents her from regret.

The comedian boasted about her youthfulness at the same time, as she reminisced her younger days in the 80s and 90s, and came to the realization young women today are agenda-driven and lack fun and relaxation.

“I look at you kids now and y’all are not havin’ fun, you 20-year-olds now are stressed out… y’all are stressed the fuck out!” Jones said to a crowd of mostly women. “When I was y’all age, I didn’t give a fuck about shit! Talkin’ ’bout presidents and fuckin’ elections?” Jones said.

Jones’ elegant ebonic deliverance is intellectually sincere and shows a side most liberal-leaning women in the media tend to avoid: honesty. When has there been a liberal on social media who bluntly owns up to the fact haters ascended their careers? Some prominent feminists either falsify their victimhood or use drama for publicity, disingenuously campaigning for attention, political control, and fronting acts of bravery.

Throughout the standup, Jones acknowledged the comparisons to her stature to men is plausible, though, in nature offensive. She recalled a club bouncer mistaking her for Chris Rock when her ponytail hairpiece went missing and considered joining Grindr, a same-sex male mating app, to bait unsuspecting users.
