When asked to detail Hillary Clinton’s “biggest accomplishment” as secretary of State, most college students who support her evidently reply with silence or an embarrassed “I don’t know.”
PJTV’s Michelle Fields approached students at George Washington University in the nation’s capitol to pick their brains about Clinton’s potential bid for presidency in 2016. One student expressed how “cool” it would be to have a female president, while another said frankly, “I think Bill’s got a lot of followers and he owes her one, so why not?”
But when Fields inquired about the young students’ reasons for supporting the Democrat — namely, her accomplishments at her secretary of State post — most of the students went numb. Her question was met with several silences and “um”s. “Definitely not the Benghazi ordeal,” one male student offered.
Even the students who uttered some semblance of a response didn’t give any specific details. “There’s just so many,” one young woman explained. “Just the fact that she’s been such a world leader and just recognized all over as doing so many great things like … I don’t even know that I could pick a single accomplishment.”
One student managed to zero in on Clinton’s accomplishment of not making a “major mistake,” yet only after he damaged his own credibility on the subject by admitting he’s “not very up-to-date with politics.”
Finally, PJTV got a distinct answer from one young man. “Benghazi is her high point,” he said. So, to recap: Benghazi is both “definitely not” an accomplishment and a “high point” of Hillary Clinton’s career, according to this youthful group.
If Benghazi is her “high point,” then what would her presidential low point look like?”
