Today after President Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, protests erupted blocks away near K Street and 12th Street NW.
Protestors affiliated with #DisruptJ20 set fire to trash cans, broke windows, attacked cars, and threw rocks at police. Some Trump supporters tried to engage with the protestors, but reports seem to indicate that the police mostly kept them separated — except for a rare few.
One Trump supporter in particular took matters into his own hands, but in a rather productive and some could say symbolic way: he put out the trash fire started by the leftist protestors.
In the eyes of President Trump’s supporters, Trump may be faced with putting out metaphorical fires started by the liberal Obama administration. Conservatives are cleaning up the mess.
