Michael Moore, ever the American patriot, was interviewed recently by AP about his new documentary, “Where to Invade Next.”

Moore made the point that the “concept of American exceptionalism is the death of us.” He also offered his opinion on the 2016 candidates.

He suggested that Donald Trump won’t be around for long, although poll numbers show otherwise:

…I know people are worried about Donald Trump, but what you have to understand about Trump, first of all, is that he’s a performance artist. … There will come a point here, this year, where people go: OK, we’ve had enough of this performance art.

Moore referred to Hillary Clinton as “a decent soul with a great sense of humor” and Bernie Sanders as a “bit of a crank.”

Considering the position Moore takes on America, in this interview alone, as well as in his documentaries, it’s doubtful his opinion is one many will take seriously. Still, if anyone is going to call Sanders a “bit of a crank,” it shouldn’t be Michael Moore.
