Former Hillary Clinton supporter: She’s a 20th century candidate

This woman was ready for Hillary, but now she’s ready for a more “21st century candidate.”

Audrey Blondin, an attorney from Connecticut, said in an interview Sunday with a local reporter that she has decided to back  Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for president instead of Hillary Clinton, who she supported in 2008.

Blondin dealt Clinton an insult by calling her a 20th century candidate and labeling Warren a 21st century contender.

“I like to say that Elizabeth — Senator Warren — is a 21st century candidate,” Blondin explained to WFSB’s Dennis House. “Senator Clinton — Secretary Clinton — is more of a 20th century candidate.”

She also said that Warren could derail Clinton’s campaign if she decides to run.

Blondin is leading a local campaign to push Warren to run for the Oval Office despite the fact that she has insisted — multiple times — that she does not plan to do so in 2016.

However, the Connecticut attorney believes that Warren will “absolutely” decide to run as pressure mounts for the liberal Massachusetts senator to embark on a bid for president.

“I am convinced she is going to run,” Blondin said confidently, adding, “Let’s just give it another month or two.”

“I think that the issues Senator Warren speaks to — the income diversity, the student loan debt, the Wall Street corporation corruption — those are issues that really resonate here with Connecticut residents,” Blondin explained.

Blondin’s excitement for Warren — and particularly for her “enthusiasm” — was extremely palpable throughout the interview.

“I haven’t been this excited about a candidate since Bobby Kennedy in 1968,” she admitted.

Too bad Warren isn’t candidate (at least not yet).
