To promote its new dollar menu, Taco Bell has announced the “Eleven Everlasting Dollars” challenge, with a mouthwatering prize: “a lifetime of Taco Bell.”
Taco Bell, in Willy Wonka Golden Ticket style, is releasing 11 dollar bills, with specific serial numbers, into 11 major cities across the country. The contest began Tuesday in Los Angeles, followed by Chicago and Nashville, and will continue in Detroit, San Diego, Las Vegas, Seattle, Raleigh (N.C.), Miami, New York City, and Richmond (Va.), reports Mashable.
A video accompanies each day and each city, announcing the serial number, and players can check the campaign website’s map to find the cities in play.
The prize is actually a $10,000 gift card, but promoted as “Taco Bell for life” based on average meaty deliciousness consumption of $216 per year for 46 years.
The hunt for the Everlasting Dollars isn’t for the faint-hearted. According to the official rules, chances of finding the specific dollars are 1 in 2.4 billion. The campaign ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday, October 21.
