Hurricane Matthew is having a devastating effect on Florida, forcing millions to flee and millions more to deal with power outages, cancelled flights, and property damage. However, using the Democratic playbook, Hillary Clinton is ensuring that this crisis doesn’t go to waste.
The Democratic nominee’s campaign purchased anti-Trump campaign ads on the Weather Channel in the region to air during the worst part of the storm. Millions of people watching to see if their life’s saving, homes, and neighborhoods would be devastated by the storm would also have to see Clinton’s commercials.
Within just 24-hours, Democrats received a wave of negative backlash from people who were disgusted by Clinton’s tactics and she removed the commercials.
You mean the @weatherchannel ads that @HillaryClinton bought in Fla. YESTERDAY to appear DURING THE HURRICANE? https://t.co/AUJaVFEf6q

Republicans pounced on Clinton’s brash campaign strategy, GOP Chairman Reince Preibus called the idea of using a natural disaster to gain votes “shameful.”
Pulling these ads after getting caught won’t cut it. @HillaryClinton should apologize for using storm for votes https://t.co/JGxTZrsnUN

There’s a stark difference between the two candidates, during a natural disaster in Louisiana. Donald Trump went down personally to offer assistance and give aid and when a hurricane hit Florida. Clinton put up commercials.
