Harrison Ford is a “Pollution Pimp”. At least in the mind of Jason Mattera he is, along with many other Hollywood hypocrites.
Mattera is a New York Times bestselling author, the youngest editor of Human Events and the host of the “Jason Mattera Show” on News Talk Radio 77 WABC in New York. He spoke to young conservatives in Raleigh, NC this morning at the Young America’s Foundation Freedom Conference, encouraging them to get involved in the movement to “punk liberals.”
He specializes in an aggressive type of video journalism aimed at exposing the hypocrisy of many on the liberal bandwagon.
Here are some of the top Hollywood hypocrites, according to Mattera:
- Bon Jovi – Claims his occupation as a bee farmer and writes off over 90% of his taxes while he publicly advocates for distribution of wealth.
- Barbara Streisand – Protests Americans’ large carbon footprint but spends $22,000 watering garden and lawn.
- Al Gore – Says we all need to reduce our carbon footprint but owns a home in Tennessee that uses 20 times the average electricity per person.
- Harrison Ford – Also advocates for a cleaner environment but owns seven airplanes and admits he frequently flies up the coast to grab a hamburger.
- Spike Lee – Argues for racial equality but can’t stand black conservatives, says they, “think like whites.” Also, after he went to South Africa he said he wanted to “pick up a gun and shoot whites.”
- Alec Baldwin – Originally opposed the Wall Street bailouts but than became a spokesman for Capital One.
- Arianna Huffington – sold the Huffington Post and sold out her writers in order to make hundreds of millions while simultaneously condemning capitalist greed and corporate interests.
Mattera, a YAF alum, was energetic and managed to really connect with the crowd made up of mostly college students. He spoke of his own experiences in the conservative movement, including getting death threats as a student at Roger Williams University. He reminded them that even though “in 2008 we got steamrolled by Obama but in 2012 we need to be the ones to do the steamrolling.”
A final suggestion from Mattera? “I’d love to see some enterprising college students at a Bon Jovi concert dressed up as bees!”
