Scott Walker suspends presidential campaign

Scott Walker is done. Once considered a possible front runner, it was announced late Monday afternoon that Walker will be suspending his campaign for president. The news comes even after an interview from a senior adviser who insisted Walker was still in the race.

Still, the news does not come as too much of a shock considering the results of a CNN poll released yesterday. Following Wednesday night’s debate, Walker dropped to less than 1 percent.

Fox News reports that Walker will formally announce the decision in a press release at 6 p.m. ET.

Walker is now only the second to drop out of a crowded GOP field. Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry suspended his campaign earlier this month.
