It’s the kid-friendly jolt to Hollywood that even Disney couldn’t think of!
This is going to sound strange — it’s “The Tonight Show,” so it’s no real surprise — but bear with us here. Michael Keaton and Jimmy Fallon held a script reading Monday night that involved Keaton’s Oscar-nominated “Birdman” — only the scenes weren’t written by Alejandro González Iñárritu and co. They were written by kids imagining what the real “Birdman” would be like.
One young writer depicted Birdman as the world’s greatest and most divine baseball coach.
“Oh no I need to hit a home run, someone please help,” Fallon read.
“Did someone say help? I am here,” Keaton replied.
“Wow, it’s Birdman! I thought you were not real.”
“I am real and I am here to help you. Do you need power to hit a home run?”
“Yes please.”
That’s pretty much how all of the script submissions — yes, Keaton and Fallon read several — went. Watch the rest of the hilarious bunch below.
