Reach out & tell Obama what ‘Change (really) is…’

So President Obama is asking Americans to post a video via YouTube – or “a piece of art, a poster, or any other way you can think of” – explaining how their lives have been positively impacted by “the progress we’ve made” during his first term in the Oval Office.

“How is your life different now than it was before President Obama was elected?” “Why are you lending your voice to President Obama’s campaign?” These are just a few of the questions in the Obama campaign’s instructions for its “Change is…” art project that it has assigned to the American people.

This is a great opportunity for young conservatives to make their voices be heard.  I would encourage young conservatives to speak out on how half of college graduates are unable to find work, or how the stimulus package failed to bring the unemployment rate under 8%, or how the individual mandate within Obamacare violates our constitutional rights, or how the debt accumulated under Obama’s term will be carried on the shoulders of today’s young generation.

If Obama wants to hear from us, we may as well speak out boldly. Of course, the president is looking for words of praise from real Americans to help him put a positive spin on the fact that the economy has gotten worse under his watch, and that jobs are scarce and that job growth is anemic, basically nonexistent.

So I would highly encourage all young conservatives to reach out and give the Obama campaign a helping hand. Be keenly aware: don’t be fooled by the misleading narrative proffered by the Obama campaign.  Present the president with the truth: remind him of the fact that life hasn’t quite been a garden of roses during first term.
