Harry Reid has no regrets about lying about Mitt Romney’s tax returns in 2012

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) might have some regrets about his more than 30 years in Congress, but his baldfaced lies on the Senate floor about former presidential candidate Mitt Romney are not among them.

Back in 2012, Reid accused Romney of not paying any taxes at all for the past 10 years without any evidence. He claimed that “someone” had told him that.He used every opportunity to bring it up and went after Romney for months on the issue, even after every fact checker shut him down.

Reid bizarrely defended those lies in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash Tuesday.

“Romney didn’t win, did he?” Reid said.

He honestly didn’t care that what he said wasn’t true. All that mattered was that the Republican candidate didn’t win.

Shorter Harry Reid: “IDGAF.”
