Liberals praise Castro — despite his racist, sexist, anti-gay policies

Social justice racial identity politics is a helluva drug. Progressives have been spending this past weekend mourning the death and praising the legacy of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro despite his record of being racist, sexist, and homophobic.

Tariq Nasheed, an “anti-racism strategist” went on a Twitter tirade to honor the memory of Castro because he was allegedly beneficial towards black Cubans. He offered no specifics, but clearly loves the dictator because he hates America.

According to Nasheed, the only people who fled Castro’s brutality were white supremacists.

Every time the ‘strategist’ was confronted with facts of Castro’s deadly regime, he immediately went back to his fall back position of bashing his real enemy: the United States.

Ron Howell of the NY Daily Post said Castro “was an unwavering champion of racial equality.”

Nasheed and Howell aren’t alone. Plenty of other progressives are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome of the Fidel variety, defending an ideology that required them to be permanent victims.

Castro was no friend to blacks or gays. He mandated that gay Cubans go to re-education labor camps regardless of their skin color.

As far as racial diversity, his government was almost entirely white. Progressives would be horrified if Trump’s department secretaries had the same demographics as Castro’s ministers. According to a study by Cuban economist Esteban Morales Domínguez, the nation is about 30 percent white, but the government is more than 70 percent Caucasian.

Throughout the 1970’s and 80’s, black Cubans suffered considerably under the Castro regime.

“Before 1990, black Cubans suffered a paralysis of economic mobility while, paradoxically, the government decreed the end of racism in speeches and publications,” according to The New York Times.

None of that matters to racialists who hate America like Nasheed. He refuses to see any potential for humanity that goes further than skin deep.
