Pro-choice protesters are often angry, yet there’s little substance to their arguments, if they offer any. Dan Joseph of MRC TV recently found this out when interviewing them outside the Supreme Court earlier this month.
Joseph talked to several pro-choice protesters, or tried to, to ask them when abortion, at any point, should be illegal.
A few protesters weren’t afraid to answer that they didn’t think any limit should exist. But many weren’t so brave. Most refused to answer the question or talk with Joseph, on account of him being “anti-choice.”
One woman, dressed as a uterus, literally danced around as she repeated that she would “leave that to the medical professionals.”
A few others said they couldn’t answer that because they weren’t the pregnant woman in that situation. Another said she didn’t find it relevant to have that conversation as she was protesting outside the Supreme Court about abortion.
An older man mentioned his wife’s two abortions to emphasize that “without [abortion], you can’t live a full and happy life in this country.”
Stop Patriarchy is easy to spot on account of its members carrying orange signs declaring “Abortion On Demand Without Apology.” Joseph spoke with one woman who was willing to share her thoughts on how “fetuses are not babies” and stumbling over what to call an unborn child. “If you give it rights, then essentially you’re saying that that woman does not have rights,” she said. Eventually, she mocked MRC TV for being a “pro-life” outlet.
When Joseph pointed out that there was nothing wrong with that, she disputed his point because “forced motherhood is female enslavement.”
It’s puzzling how such talking points actually answer the question, but the answer is simple: They don’t. Joseph commented how it’s a simple question to answer, but he thinks he knows why so many were unwilling to answer.
